Farmer Joe
Farmer Joe decided his injuries from the accident were serious enough to
take the trucking company (responsible for the accident) to court. In
court the trucking company's fancy lawyer was questioning farmer Joe.

The results of the overlaynodes function appears to have changed in version 5.5.
On previous versions, if you had 2 simple polylines that intersected at a single
point, the result was a polyline with an extra node added to it.
With version 5.5, the resulting object is now a polyline made up from

I have a couple of station descriptions in my possession and a report, both with
details on 2
stations in the Port Area of Colombo. One of the stations is as below. I do not know
if the WGS 84
UTM coordinates are of any use to anyone, they are just part of my output.

Hello again,
Well, the CommandInfo connection Mark pointed out seens to be quite usefull, since

OK, a quick suggestion: Make a copy of your table, specifying a new bounds.
You can do this using the Mapbasic window, like this:

I came across something interesting today: You apparently cannot select
lines in a region using the Region Select tool. This is probably because
lines do not appear to have a centroid (they do not show up when you set

I'm not sure how MI determines the display order in legends but you can
open your workspace in a text editor and change it. Just locate the line
labelled 'Create Cartographic Legend' and wreak whatever havoc you want.
You can also add new legends by cutting and pasting this section,

Hi,
I am desperately trying to get a layout (created in V5) into a suitable format
for adobe illustrator.
I thought (foolishly) that if I wrote the postscript out to a file, I could
then convert it to EPS and so onwards into adobe illustrator. Not so, none of
my postscript drivers produce
Steve,
It works on mine. However, I do remember seeing similar things, with

All that good stuff is in MapBasic. It's not mentioned in the
MapInfo docs, but it's fully described in the MapBasic ones.
