Yes, but then it's good it is GIS you are working with. You should be able to
find a way out from anywhere ;-)
Of course that require that someone else has

Hi Peter,
I agree with your perceptions - and I suspect that most people's first
encounters with DBMS tables produce the same concerns. But this is a
significantly different data environment from "normal" MapInfo TAB file use.

I've been running into a problem with printing layouts. When I print an

Hi Tim,
MapX can not calculate routes by itself. You need something else such as
our RW Net product. The Free version can actually do what you describe
as long as the map (number of records) isn't too big.

Hi list,
Bit of a strange one.
Is there any way I can calculate a route by road using MapX?
Perhaps there is a C++ library that can be used with MapX that uses
route-planning map data.
My application needs to dynamically calculate the route and highlight it
on the map.
Hmm..
Kind regards
John,
One way to do it through MapBasic is to run the MapInfo menu command -

Hi John
Use SQL Select and under Order by columns > Select the field that you wish to
sort by and then type desc for descending order.
Alternatively you can download the tool in www.directionsmag.com
Good luck

Can someone clue me in on the MapBasic syntax that results in an invert
selection? It seems like it should be easy, but I haven't been able to
generate such code. Thanks!

Hi,
You need an image processing package that can convert raster image (in your

analysis in MapInfo products). You can find lots of raster to vector packages
but I am not sure if their are freeware packages. Also you have to t
