It's a long shot but does anyone have any thoughts on the management of data
layers within groups in MapInfo? I'll try and explain a little better...
MapInfo's layer control when it contains more than 20 or so layers gets a
little tedious when trying to search for a specific layer to turn
Take a look at the Set Window statement, SysMenuClose OFF will disable the
close window option in the top right corner of the map window. You could
toggle this on or off dependent upon who's logged in I suppose.

registered it several times with a variety of different control points at a
number of different locations and each time when I view it the vector

searched to no avail. I have 22 bus routes (on different layers) that I have
digitised over a map base. Several of the routes overlap each other and in a

In MapBasic the NumWindows() function returns the number of Map, Browse,
Graph and Layout windows that are currently open. Does anyone know how I can
be more specific. I only need to find out how many 'Map' windows are
open...Thanks.
