Hi,
I just tested this: You can add a Logical field until you reach 250 fields (at
least MI800). If you try this with a Char (254) you can only have 15 ! MI
gives a note that a record lenght can't exceed 4000 bytes.

Could anybody shed some light over this: Why is a malformed tab file handled
with error handling in MB and allows an app to proceed, when a well formed tab
file produces an error because affiliated files are not present?

My Matrox g450 graphics card allows me to do a kind of zoom by using a
keybord shortcut. 'Kind of' means that it's just a plain magnification of
the area where the cursor is. It's however a nice little feature.

The reason why they don't snap together is a matter of different precision
in your map layers. Use CoordSysBounds.MBX to optimize your map bounds.

You can have as many hotlink columns in your table as you wish. You'll just
have to add the table as a new layer for each hotlink column. Practically,
you won't see the difference, but when you try to make a hotlink you get a
list to choose for.

I had problems with hotlink some months ago exactly like yours. Try the
following:
Select "MapInfo Table" (*.tab) in the "Files Type" tab in Explorer. Then
edit the Open Action and select "Use DDE" insert: Open Table "%1" View
Automatic, MapInfo, -blank-, System. Then everything should wo
y to split polygons and attach information to
each of the new objects.
I know that it's easy with ArcView - you draw a line and split the object
where it intersects the line.
Does anyone know of a program, that could do the trick - or do you have
hints ? (I would really NOT like to have to buy A
