If I ndersand you well, you need to create grids for the area you are working on. Yes,
it is going to be too many to create by hand.
Try the following:
Click Tools,
Tool Manager
Tool Manager will appear with all the available tools or functions that you can use in

I'm ashamed to admit it but I couldn't think of a more elaborate way than to
just have to get out the elbow grease and do this the hard way. I only had
about 700 sections to quarter though.
