I am taking this poll because I'm curious to know how many people will buy, upgrade to
or pass on the MZ-R909.
You don't have to own an R900 (everyone will pass then); heck, you don't even have to
own a single piece of minidisc equipment; just say BUY (I don't have any minidisc
equipment

I am not judging anybody or anything, I am just saying that the r900 is
almost the same thing. I was wrong when I said the r900 was bad. Although I
had never tried or even seen it,

I'm sure the r90, which I have, is no different than the r900 except for more
features, and my r90 has problems (although not serious)

I got an MZR90 in December of 1999, and have had some mysterious problems
with it. First of all, I would put a fresh new rechargeable battery in and it
still blinks LOW BATT even

I got an MZR90 in December of 1999, and have had some mysterious problems with it.

Anyone have pictures or information on this unit, I would really like to know
more about this unit so I can get an idea about substitute units from the
ones I already have (r55, r90).

I don't know how to get my browser to send text so im using AOL web mail. My question
was, because i have a r55 and an r90, does LP2 stereo sound better or is it comparable
to standard mono? and is the r900 really better than the r90?

Chances are you are recording too loud. You need to adjust the recording
level low enough, because if it is too high, the sound tends to distort.

Has anyone ever taken their minidisc through the scanner at the airport
before. I just want to know if it is safe and it does not spoil my recorder.

Depends on how much money you want to spend.
I'd get it,
I have one already (black one) and it's pretty cool. If you want me to I can
tell you about it.

If you can afford to pay $100 more, then try a Sony- MZ-R90 is the smallest
MD portable in the world right now. I have one and its battery lasts a long
time.

OH yeah, I need to add that I need some ideas about the recorder and/or
player and anyone who has had any experience with any of these units tell me
your ideas so I can make this decision...
I appreciate it.

I need to know before next Tuesday; should I get an MZ-R90 or an MZ-E90 as a
second MD portable?
I already have an MZ-R55 Sony MiniDisc recorder so I don't absolutely need a
recorder, but just for the upgrade.
