I would definitely look at uBid. If you are getting a recorder for minimal
use, and size isn't an issue, you should look at the Sharp MD-MT15 they put
up frequently. You could get it pretty cheap in comparison, and I think
that Sharps are much easier to use, especially when recording.

I'd love a PDA with MD as its storage medium. It's really quite a good
idea.

I heard from a friend inside Sony Electronics US that they nearly went
through the roof the day they saw it. Sony was busy working on their
first PDA at the time (it's now
From what I understand, the problem isn't that it doesn't function, it's
that it doesn't work for his needs. If he plugs in the airhead after the
remote, then there is a big object in the line between the headphones and
the remote. He wants to "chop off" the headphone connector of the remote
It's strange that people are having such a hard time understanding his
question. All I can think of Niels is that you make an extension like Dave
said. Otherwise, I don't think it's possible.

this is what the remote plug looks like on my Aiwa. It's not the same as my

I guess they don't call it an airhead for nothing. :)
Except that won't work...

It's not a player of anything, it's just tiny media.

Ok, from reading the numerous on and off topic posts, i believe the answer
to my question is: Yes, it is possible to use a Subwoofer with a line out
jack, provided that the subwoofer has its own low pass filter. Does that
sound right?

No, no. You missed my point. If I buy a stereo that has no subwoofer out,
but has an analog out, will it sound as good (or the same) if I hook up a
subwoofer to the analog out? I would probably get some cable that converts
2 RCA stereo jacks to 1 mono jack for the sub.
like :). I'll write a short review once I buy and use one.

Also, does anyone know where to buy any of those newer Kenwood or JVC units

nice
