Thanks for the review!!! If ever there was a medium which was open to subjective judgments about sound quality, it's minidisc, since it relies on perceptual coding, and sound diferences are very subtle but audible. I don't know why people couldn't accept that the sound of really good

MD: Best SOUNDING MD portable? Sharp 702?

I could really use some audiophilic feedback. I'm looking for a *good* sounding portable. I had the Sony 40 that came with the MD bundle and I was unimpressed. Even on my Grado SR80 Headphones (which the unit couldn't quite drive loud enough) the mids and highs sounded harsh and flat.
