I've asked around the know-how MD and Mobile audio shops and
there doesn't seem to be any *cheap* way of connecting the
portable and head units together without having the bus line.
You can off course give it to some electronic whizz and see if he can
by-pass the swithc inseide the head

I agree. A reverse enigineered solution is 100% to me, can't be that
difficult, can it. Altough I cannot do that type of things myself, If I
have the plans I'm certainly sure I can get someone to do it for me.
