Last month I bought Aiwa CSDMD50 from JR @ New York. Shelf price was
$339.99, but they let me buy it for $315. I had the opportunity to examine
it a bit before leaving it with my son in his dorm room. It is indeed a very
nice unit. As you might have seen from its pictures, the CD player and
I'm looking for a boombox or mini shelf system with a CD player and MD
recorder/player. I want to be able to record digitally from CD to MD
and from CD and internal MD to an external MD or DAT machine, also
digitally. Ideally, it should also have a cassette capability. It's
