I am trying to get the LDAPAuthentication extension working.
I have samba authenticating against my Windows PDC, so the basic setup works.
Now I need to get mediawiki to authenticate against the same PDC.
I have tried following several different guides:

No idea about this, but you can promote users to admins from command-line:

Go to your preferences and choose the zone from the list in the Date and

I just figured that out. Is there a way to set that as a default for
everyone? the timezone is set to default but nothing in the LocalPrefs

Is there a way to give users permission to edit talk pages but not the
main pages? The only extension I found is no longer maintained.
I want to give regular users permissions to read the main page and then
make comments on the talk page, but not edit the main page.
Is there a way to do this wiki-wide? I need this as default behavior.
I thought that to set the page protected or semi-protected can achieve
this.

Is anyone aware of an extension that would allow a user to view the
differences between two articles?
We are using mediawiki for user manuals. The articles themselves are
similar across a family of models, with the major differences being
images and a small amount of text in each article.

What I need is a menu option that a user can click on and that executes a

restarted apache a few times, and reloaded the page and the Print/Export
menu just showed and and it creates zim files... :headscratch:
