Dennis, IIRC the OM606 series is notorious for having fuel leaks with the
fittings near the fuel filter(s), which allows fuel out and/or air into the
system. I'd check to make sure all these fittings are tight and install new
o-rings and hoses. Unfortunately, that's all I got for ya.

More on my self-levelling rear struts replacement...
I've found an affordable source of struts in Australia for my 1985 300TD.
Problem is, their part number is not the same as mine. So I wonder if you
guys with EPCs could tell me what you think the part number is.

Actually, I had an aftermarket asystem a PO had put on a 78 Chev Malibu we
had. Were driving along when all of a suddem it died - in the street - we
pulled over and I managed to pull the wire going to the disributor - it
started instantly - it was an amazing Chev 305(?) V8 that
