Seems like there is pitting. I used a shop towel and water to wipe
what came off easy, but there is heavy accumulations and I got a new
wheel brush (garbage it turns out) and went to work. Brush self
destructed. It was a combination bristle and scour with a nice

into my 300SD. It sounds like it has everything I need, except the longer
driveshaft, which I could probably dig up in a junkyard. I'm wondering if
it would work at all, or would the considerable increase in weight kill

I think the main issue with the 124 hitches and probably later models
is the bulb out warning circuitry. Isn't it the case that without
modification except for the addition of lights the bulb out warning
system will go wonky? Maybe not so much an issue with earlier
