Hey Kaleb,
Is something going funny with the digest version of the list? I'm seeing LOTS
of messages get replied to where I haven't seen the original message come
through at all...
On an interesting side note, when I post to the Linux list it ALWAYS hits my
spam filter... Odd.

People here complain bitterly about it but they complained just as bitterly
about MTBE.
Interestingly you don't hear them complaining about MTBE now, I'm about the
only one around that reminds them of getting a headache after 10 minutes at the
gas station...

Funny my wife and I were talking about this just this morning. She said "I
can't believe somebody as dumb as him could get through Yale."
I replied with "Well he did have a 1.5GPA..."
Yep, our president was a D+ student. As I remember John Kerry was a C- or

My late great uncle Reg had an '88 GMC 1500 pickup that pretty much only ever
got driven around town.
Every trip I made to see him he'd have me "blow the carbon out of it" we'd go
find some big hills and bomb up them with the pedal to the floor and the 350ci
v8 screaming.
He'd smile and hold on

When I did it the manny's clutch pipe obviously went through
the same hole that the slushbox's electrical cable used to use.

A lot of the danger can be mitigated by making sure the donor
car is OFF when you hit the patient's starter. That and, of
course, making sure you use proper cabling
Guess that's the last time you'll get the fancy car.
Far as jump starting 'new' cars with fancy electronics, far as I know it
is still doable but the penalties for stuffing it up are har$her.
There should be a section in the operators manual about this but
*always* connect the positive ends first

Yeah, my heart skipped a beat on that one too. This is the very reason that
the '07 Dodge Ram wasn't used to jump the '95 Rodeo who's batttery had gone

The only experience I had with it was a couple of years ago when a servo
sold some E10 and touted it as premium 95 octane. As my 230E has a taste
for 95 I decided to chuck some in, ran like a dog and was still feeling
ill a couple of tankfuls of other fuel later. Stayed clear of that stuff

Yeah mine has the hole for the hose from the brake fluid reservoir to
the clutch master cylinder but had to fabricate (sounds better than cut)
a hole for the line to the slave. Not hard to do but just a tad sad to

Send your old PBU to me and I'll rebuild it instead of throwing it away. I
have a handful of scrap ones and can swap in a new switch if that's the issue.
