My sentiments, 'zackly, and the reason I've never used it nor liked it.
It's not "popcorn" (with the little foam-looking spheres) - looks like
stippled joint compound, but it does look like it was sprayed on.

A 1938 Elgin has a snap-back case, no they are NOT sealed, cannot be
worn near water, nor in fact if you sweat a lot. A pain, but they are
lovely watches.
And long haired cat undercoat hairs float all over on the breeze.

Yep. Airless paint sprayer worked a treat. Took about 20 minutes
to do the kitchen. Two coats. Masking took way longer than that.

Just put some 3/8 Sheetrock over it and have a clean start. I have that crap
