The front frame looks like it would make a nice bouncy board, especially with
1000lb of engine and trans sitting up there. I’m still thinking a nice Benz
diesel engine and trans (606/722.6), would have to bodge up the ECU and TCM
somehow but I guess that would be doable. That would be some
Ford 460 gas engine is an absolute gas pig, the C6 transmission is an
antique. When I look at this "project" I'm seeing multiple bad decisions
and poor planning. Keep the engine/trans, I'll bid $200 for the messed up
hulk you are trying to sell, but only if you have front fenders, hood, and
grill
I think I would go with an inline 6 cylinder Chevy or a Chrysler slant 6.

Maybe it's RWD as in Not FWD. Maybe it's in Arctic White as the
text says, and the pictures... confirm?

The grill is generally set back about even with the center of the front
wheels so the hood need not be so long as the frame might otherwise
suggest. The hood shouldn't be too hard to fabricate but the fenders and
grill would be more of an issue. I wonder how close fenders from some
other car
I love the doors hinged like that. With that long a front end it needs at
least a V12, if not a straight eight! It would be a much more interesting
project if it had the Mercedes front body work.

Was this during the Daimler-Chrysler years?
If any Chrylser electrical bits made it on to the parts sheet, electrical
problems would go without saying. Almost as bad as Lucas in my experience.

It's advertised as 4x2, doesn't have a 4MATIC badge on the back, and
teilcatalog says 4x2 drive.
First one I've ever seen. But I doubt you'd find any in the Great Lakes
area.

I think these had lots of electrical issues. My neighbor in Houston had
a C wagon of about this vintage and MB ended up crediting her for a
newer car after she dealt with hers for 2yr. This one looks nice enough
might be worth someone to fool around with it
