In the 120k or so we put on it before some old codger T-boned my son in t, I
had only done the serpentine belt on it as far as maintenance. The usual
consumables, such as oil, filters and tires, yes, but nothing in the way of
repairs.

That would be U joints, flex discs and CV joints as far as I can think of.

Flex discs from Mercedes aren't that expensive in most cases. Front flex disc
is around $125 from the dealer, I believe. Rear is the same.

valve (OEM), a receiver/dryer (Behr), and a complete set of O rings compatible
with both R134a and R12.

It is not. There are a number of different KLIMA relays out there, a few that
are outliers, like the one in my 350SDL.
You can "cheat" the KLIMA buy using a standard Bosch cube relay in place of the

change. These are new but have damaged packaging.
