So the jumper is the solution. LnL Sounds like an "improvement"
that does not work so well to me. I like my Diesels.

The old Saabs used to have a timer in the pump relay, ran for about 5 seconds
IIRC. My 190e does something similar, and I think i

No idea. It measured open circuit from the relay's pump terminal to ground, so I
think it might have a bad motor winding or brush.
Used ones run $35-60 on eBay.

Finally, it's alive!
What I did after finding out that I had power at the fuel pump relay and that
jumpering the relay socket did not get me any fuel pressure under the hood:
I bought a used "e320" fuel pump on eBay.
When it got here last week, I crawled under to R&R it and found the old pump

I think that is a good choice. I bought a used fuel pump for the 380
and it turned out ok for at least 5 yrs. ...so far, so good.

Thanks, I bought an OE pump with bracket for $31.50.
Hopefully it doesn't have as many miles on it as the one that came with my car.

Big Blue is sitting on my Landgrebe dolly in my driveway, with a battery charger
on an extension cord.
I like that dolly better than a Demco Kar Kaddy.
Tows like a dream, at least at 30mph.

I found this which seems to pertain.
I have voltage at one terminal of the fuel pump relay under the back seat
with ignition off and voltage at another with ignition on.
I have 0.6V from ground to the relay terminal that's switched by the
relay, seems like it should be 0.0V. Can't hear pump over tr
Not sure on that model, but the 60 to 87 gassers, it is near the RR
axle. Take a couple of long wires to run jumper to the battery.
Check wiring and ground if you can first.
