I’m happy. I don’t think the seller is very happy, though. This was his post
after the hammer fell:
"SINCE IM ON THIS SITE, I NEVER SEEN A DEAL LIKE THAT. I GUESS THE BUYER IS
LUCKY :) THANK YOU FOR THE BIDDING EVERYONE.”
I guess that confirms that I did, in fact, get a deal.

Good score although the buyer premium seems quite excessive on lower
priced items

Sorry for any confusion.
These are typically going for $1500-$2000/set or more, with worn tires.

To clarify, that price is per each wheel ($300-$400).

The S whatever it was AMG was back again this week. It would make a
cheap AMG for someone who likes to go fast.
a GL450, a GL550. Both looked good. I drove the 550 a few yards.
An ML 350
an SLK
and some others I didn't get close enough to see what they were.
Looked like a GLK on a semi that

You send $, I will find a dealer to buy it for you. Probably
between $100 and $500 for the dealer to mess with it. You or I can't
buy it.
A 240D automatic can go fast enough to attract johnny law. My 300Ds
and SDLs go fast enough that will just throw you in jail and take
your license.

The computers just make a mess of it. The W220 spits out errors on
the dash every so often. Writes them in its little list of screw
ups, then forgets about them when you start it again. I have errors
mostly for lighting that is not failing. The computers just think
they are failed.
The 210 went back to regular shocks. The 04 would be the 211 I believe.

So how hard would it be to fix the AMG air bits? Either some sort
of stealer bits or bodge up something home brewed? Is it mechanical
or electronical or an unholy combo? Those E55s are hot rods, for a
few $100 to buy one it seems like it would be worth some rat
engineering to try to get it
On the AMG, I would guess the the RTW cars get springs for the E
class. But the question is if you can fool or disable the computer,
or will it tell the other computers the car is screwed so it won't
run at all or in limp mode only.
On the S, Maybe all of them are on air. Airlift makes good
Worst case, could steel springs be bodged into place?

The worst cars today: 1. A pottyak rollerskate of some form. the
front of the seat is just a few inches behind the front edge of the

of. Being a ragtop, I could not grab the roof to extract myself. It

I drove the wagon through the auction. 255k miles. $600 high bid.
Probably a no sale. It has on airbag (SRS), ABS, antiskid lights.

Based on Curly’s descriptions, it sounds like a dealer (wholesale) auction.

The C230 was back, as was the E320 wagon. I did
not see the 201, 190E 2.3. It either sold or
was taken back.
It was an even shorter sale than the prior 2
weeks. We are told that next week's
