Slip-on braid is bling. It can't fit tight enough to do what the metal braid is supposed to do, as regards braking performance. You do NOT want metal braid, of any flavor, for general driving. Abrasion from dirt is the problem. The regular hoses work perfectly, perhaps for twenty years or so,
