maintenance item. #2D or BioD doesn't make much difference in my
experience. However, the BioD i used has the methanol recovered.

In the process of resurrecting this 240D, the fuel leaks have started in
the return lines between the injectors. What is that V stuff we're supposed
to use? Viton? I can get that stuff anywhere right? Mercedes wants $35 a
meter for it. Should I bite the monetary bullet and buy a meter of that

The lines are new braided lines that are the correct
ones to use not the braided VW vacuum hose stuff that
some try to pass off. Got some new line today and so
far so good. A few days will tell. BTW it was my
indie that replaced the lines when he did the valve
adjust. They weren't leaking but

without them splitting? I replaced all the return

split and leaking. So I cut enough off the end so its
way past the split and reinstalled and

cannot see it. That rubber can get rock hard with age -- the overflow
lines on my brother's SDL snapped off they were so hard, and it took
