i've successfully negotiated for replacement value on a totaled car
that was more than twice what the insurance company offered me by
showing proof of what cars similar to mine were selling for in my area
at the time. (KBB and Edmunds pricing weren't really relevant). you
might want
tore it to working order. According to my son, the body damage
isn't significant, but the steering and LF drive axle are hosed up.

Never heard of Encompass. They will most likely want to total it. Too many
unknowns in repairing a car that old.
If they make a fair offer, I'd take it. An '01 Nissan is nothing special;
should be easy to replace. I've had three cars totaled by State Farm and their
offers were always reason
