In Northern Tool catalog there are two very similar 3 ton tripod jack
stands. One is the Esco for $80 each.
The other is a Torin for $28 each. They both weigh about the same and have

I don't know about those particular stands but Torin is low-budget made
in China, the sort of stuff sold at Pep Boys, etc. You really can't get
any LESS
Give Harbor Freight a look also. Their stuff is pretty cheap and pretty
solid. I've been using a set of 4 from there for past 10 yrs... no
problems. They are 3 ton units, and bought on sale in sets of two. If I
recall, $30 +- per pair.
Never place a body part you want to keep between the vehicle
