I'll have the lines off, so I figure I can flush them out while they're off the
car. Wasn't something on my "to do" list, but it is now. Thanks!

Bad injectors will give you rough idle and mixture control issues.
When you replace them, leave the lines off at the injector and crank a bit
(watch for spilt fuel, of course) -- crap collects in the lines and you can
plug up new ones making them as bad as the old ones!

Thanks, Peter, but as inexpensive as the boot and idle air valve hoses are, I'm
going for broke and replacing all of them. Ordered the parts from MB yesterday,
they should be in on Monday. They're not terribly expensive - I think the boot

I had big air leaks on mine around that barb, the old boot was rock hard. It
also leaks around the throttle body when it gets old as it shrinks and the
clamp becomes loose. Tighten the clamp and it may fix the leak for a bit, but
if it does, the boot is shot.

Thanks, Peter! That gives me an idea of what to expect.
I am ordering the idle control hoses as well since I was going to be in there.
And yes, the hose on the engine side of the idle control valve looks like a

outer side with some contortions.

In anticipation of replacing all of the rubber bits on the 300SEL/M13, I was
trying to figure out what I would need for the boot between the air flow meter
and throttle valve. It’s not at all what I thought was there…
I was looking at some parts diagrams and was confused - I assumed the boot
