No Indy. Family is there, but we bailed from Indy last year. Had a house there
for roughly six months, sold out and made a little money in the process.

The mounts are cheap, like $32 or thereabouts from Mercedes. Don’t buy
aftermarket mounts!
Do the passenger side first, as it’s the easiest.

I think the mounts on the 05ML500 are shot, probably what the clunking is I’ve
been hearing. Sounds like a fun job.

For those who have done motor mounts on older MBs, later model motor mounts are
a major challenge. The W163 is especially unpleasant because you have to
replace them form the wheel well, not underneath the car.

bad. I did much the same on this one as I did on the right side - I loosened
the engine support that sits on the top of the mount to get enough room to R&R
the mount. Made it pretty simple, not nearly the pig of a job it
