IF is a big word! In mine, the prop goes to high RPM (flat pitch) when
there is no oil pressure, so that is what would happen with an engine
failure.

Yes - the dedicated aircraft GPS has a Nearest button, and the matching
iPad app has the same (redundant GPS nav units).
The plane will find the ground on it's own if the engine dies, I just get
to help choose where, to some small extent.

Interesting discussion on the W140 forum at BenzWorld. Here are things that
have been suggested:
1.) Failing EZL (ignition module). When it hiccups, it throws a soft code which
kills the system. Disconnecting battery resets soft code, which allows it to
run again until it throws a new code.
Before I owned the car. It's in good shape, I've checked it.
