I don't know anything about German castrol Syntec. Castrol Dino oil used to be very good. Castrol syntec is dino oil at synthetic prices. If you change oil every 3000 miles it will work. But you may as well buy a good dino oil. It is cheaper and does the same thing. What's wrong with C

AutoZone currently has an "oil change special" 5qt jug of Castrol GTX and Bosch filter gets you a ~$7 rebate, final price about $13. Of course you have to send in for the rebate, which most people won't end up doing, which is why they offer it. Syntec is a "faux" synthetic, hydrocracked oil.
