If you got the starter wire on the wrong terminal of the new switch, chances are the wire to power the glow relay (and the light) is also on the wrong terminal. I'd guess your 80 is the same as mine. Mine has the old style ($350) glow relay behind the left headlight, mounted on the inner fend
