It will also quiet down more and run smoother after you have proper
injection on all cylinders for a while -- the pre-chamber will
carbon up badly when the injectors don't fire properly. This will
burn off with driving.

What are the chances a used line at a junkyard will be good? Do they

Does your car (or any putative donor) have intact anti-vibration

Hey, I bet you could weld it!

PGA might sell you a used line for $50 or so. Last new one I bought
was $125. It PAYS to keep the plastic and metal holders for the
injector lines clamped down tight.
Last time I bought a set, it was maybe $350. Six or eight years
ago. Wish I'd kept the five used ones.

Ah, that makes sense. Bummer. On the up side it looks like this
particular one is relatively easy to replace, it has the fewest
connectors and the best chance of wiggling under the intake manifold.
For the very short term, I put in a stretchy 3/16" neoprene washer

Sorry, you don't have a delivery valve problem, you have a cracked

Buy a new one, they cannot be repaired.

This afternoon (another warm day!) it got a lot worse all at once, and
just now I caught it in the act: one of the delivery valve holders (#3
from front) is spurting fuel. Seeing it reminded me that it was
repaired by the PO using silicon tape, and since it was working I'd
forgotten it.

Could be something simple? - like motor mounts got squished or engine
assembly is not settled in to running position? Normal motor sounds
are being amplified through the body as a result of diminished
