Oh yeah, left that out. Definitely filter it to about 5 microns. I
wouldn't just go dumping it in. (though it seems you'd just have to replace
your car's filters sooners if you did).
I might also have a different opinion if I had a pristine Benz that was my

Filter it really well and pass it through one of those magentized pipes
to pick up any stray metal. I would be fine with a quart at each fill
up in Gump. Were I to try that with the E300D, she would kill me.

Cummins introduced a program about 2-3 years ago for big rig diesels that
introduces a certain ammount of crankcase oil into the fuel system. The
claim to fame is that oil change intervals are quadrupled, filterchanges

Hans -- here in TX I believe it is a law that if they sell oil they
gotta take oil. I go to the O'Reilly's and just go in back and pour

Depends on what you mean by "maximum". I'm not positive how well synthetic
burns, but I can tell you that regular old oil can be added up to 50% (it's
probably gonna be a little bit smokier and more sluggish at that ratio
though). You could go higher than that...

Hans,
IIRC, Marshall said a while or two ago that a quart of motor oil in
with a fill up of diesel fuel was about the maximum...
Could be wrong tho..

Anybody remember SC-based Green Oasis Environmental? They had a contraption
that purportedly turned crankcase oil into diesel fuel.

At $ 2.50+ a gallon diesel it would also cut down the initial cost of the
oil.
