Mine blew partially over the fence and bent the legs on the fence side as it
fell toward the neighbor's boat. Neither boat was damaged, . The newly
purchased legs are made of heavier

I have one of those canopies. It's well worth the price---easy to set
up and much sturdier than I expected. Provision for anchoring it to
the ground is minimal, so f

Most important question - what car are you protecting that is worth all the
effort??

When I ran out of garage space, I bought a 12'x20' car storage
structure/shelter made of reasonably heavy metal frame-work and heavy
plastic cover and screw into the ground anchors. Zipper doors on each end.
I placed a treated wood floor of 2"x6"'s over a couple of layers of plastic
onto the dirt

I use Covercraft covers with the Evolution 4 material here in Phoenix. They
have an elastic in the perimeter which lasts about 2 years and the covers
last about 4. They are designed to let moisture out, but not in and the inner
liner is very soft and does not seem to scratch the paint, t

I have one of the tarp type garages over my boat, and after only 1.5 years,
the tarp material is wasting away! It has kept things reasonably dry and
protected SO FAR, but it ain't gonna last through another winter. It's
11'X25' and cost me $229.95. I know that this wouldn't be nearly the pric

Is there some cover that keeps water out, but will still breath? Im
thinking Im going to buy a few of those cheap tarp garage things next
time they go on sale at HF. Also my try putting a small tarp on the car
over the front and rear windows but under the car cover, that might keep
water from
I just had a modified carport idea. A small dining fly would cost less
than a quality car cover. If you cut the poles as short as possible without
the fly touching the car it would increase both protection and stability.

What about Gore-Tex? Of course, that probably would cost more than a
carport...
Exactly. If you want to prevent rain from getting in,
buy a cheap tarp. I don't know of any good covers
that don't breathe, since being "not breathable" will
cause all sorts of nasty things to happen to the
outside and inside of the car.

If it breathes, it's probably not waterproof.
A carport is a superior solution, but it costs more than any cover.

Those tarp garage things are quite effective, but even staked down, if you
get high winds, it could cause problems.

What is a good car cover that will keep water from reaching the car? I
bought one at walmart that said it was water proof, and we had a hell of
a rain all day today, I get home and see I still am getting water
leaking into the car. This is an old car which of course leaks water.
