I just had a modified carport idea. A small dining fly would cost less than a quality car cover. If you cut the poles as short as possible without the fly touching the car it would increase both protection and stability. No nasty sealed up sauna effect because you only suspended a tent roof above

What is a good car cover that will keep water from reaching the car? I bought one at walmart that said it was water proof, and we had a hell of a rain all day today, I get home and see I still am getting water leaking into the car. This is an old car which of course leaks water. Covered it up
