Hahahahahahaha! It's amazing the claims of MPG and of money spent to convert to biodiesel when all it takes is viton fuel lines and only when running B100. One is better off hunting in the Southwest or just about anywhere other than the rust belt for a good MB diesel at a reasonable price.

$800?!? Dude, this is the Northwest, and don't forget that I "converted" the car over to run on biodiesel, and have the sticker to prove it. This baby's going up on CL and Ebay, and I'm not settling for less than $6K! It's not just biodiesel ready, it's already living the dream, baby! Yeee haww

It's great fun knowing you've already put more into it in fuel than in capital expenditure. That's my goal. The fewer dollars that I have to put into this thing, the better as long as it's safe and roadworthy. I certainly wouldn't buy a new engine for it or a used one that may cost 5 times wh

One thing I'm curious about. Air bags are critical to surviving an accident - my wife lived because of the air bag she had when she was in a wreck last Oct - but I'm not sure how you *know* they're still ready and willing to fire should the need arise. Does the car do a self test of the air

A nice diesel with under 100K miles for $8K is a rare find. It's a lot better than my $100 junker that's not going anywhere yet. Ah, but is it 80 _times_ better? Probably not, and to lots of us that is a factor. It's nice when you can afford the best ride possible (relatively speaking), but ma
