Go to Cabelas.com They sell excellent de-humidifier cannisters that I have used for many years for my guns and meteorites. And though I live in Arizona we do use evaporative coolers in the summer which pump gallons of moisture into the house to cool it. Search on the Cabelas site by item number

Hi Tom, If I had a choice it would be on the bottom as the heat rises and circulates. That is where the golden rod is to be placed in a gun safe. Light bulb would depend on volume in a case (or curio cabinet). What I would do is to place a thermometer on a central shelf or in a case and monitor

The 57 Cubic ft model comes in a can. It has an indicator on the top that changes color when it is time to re-charge it. It goes in a warm oven for a couple of hours and its ready to go. My guns are rust free in their cabinet. My meteorites sit in a display case on top of our entertainment
