Hi:
I am trying to convert a point-to-point link into a point-to-multipoint
link. Our new tower is inline between two existing tower locations.
Rather than run new backhaul up one of the current towers and eat up
more spectrum I figured I could piggy-back off the existing link.

Hey Mac:
If it's not too much to ask, could you post, or send me a copy of that

something similar.
If you can't no big deal, I don't want to step on Butch's toes...
I've already set up mac filtering and bandwidth shaping using i

Oops, wrong subject.
I am going to be setting up a very short range (think 300ft) 5.2GHz
link. Do you think I would have any problem using a 5.8GHz grid for this
purpose? I have several 27dBi grids in stock and I want to save some of
the install cost.
These are the grids I have:

Thanks, I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. I wanted to be able to
build everything into one unit with a single power supply.

We are looking to setup a tower with a T1 rather than a wireless

was thinking a routerboard with a T1 card and a wireless card to shoot
the signal across the street.

We have a similar setup except we don't use MT for bandwidth shaping.
When we add new clients to the Trango AP's we set the MIR to the maximum
plan we offer 1024/768 and we set the CIR to the lowest plan we offer
256/128.
This seems to work fairly well, for the most part the higher bandwidth

We have a 5.8GHz Mikrotik backhaul running between two towers about 6

Many times the fade is enough to cause the link to drop for a few

You can get three cards if you use a minipci cable and let it dangle,
if you really need it.

I agree, the RB433's are very powerful, versatile, and cheap. One caveat
if you plan on using Ubiquiti XR5's though. The RF shielding on the
XR5's is so large that you can only fit two of the XR5's on the RB433.
One in the top slot, and one in the bottom. This leaves the center slot
unusable.
Grea
this, I'm typically able to get between 25-30Mbps FDX on
RB532's and a little better on 433's or 600's.

I'm looking to replace a 10mbps orthogon with a higher capacity link

I'd like to not use any more of the band than I am already using.

We had this exact same problem with a pair of Ubiquiti cards. Evidently
when our routerboards were programmed the power output was set to manual
and the power was set several dB over the actual output of the cards.
This ended up permanently desensitizing the card which resulted in a
