short answer is no...
Long answer:- open the unit, remove the Flash card, hook it up to a flash card
reader on another pc, and use netinstall to reinstall the ROS ( don't
format the flash card, otherwise you will loose the license key on it ).

I think you are being presumptuous that if someone has a 4 Byte ASN they have
to have a 64 bit community.
Standard BGP communities are defined as 32bit, using the ASN as the first part
of the community is only a BEST Practices and not a Technical Requirement.
i.e. there is nothing stopping you

Are you familiar with SSH port Tunnels ?
Let me introduce you ... If you find this to be one of the most useful
tips you have gotten on the list.. you can thank me by buying me a steak dinner

#1) Not sure which CPU core you are looking at when you say CPU is less then 20%
Look deeper, and you will see the each cpu core utilization.. aggregate view is
mis-guiding
#2) As I shared before, using default routes in conjunction with full tables,
with any traffic engineering (as padding
LOL !...
Believe me your router is having issues (aka struggling in keeping up with the
full tables and updates).
You just might not be aware of it or have been affected by them to notice.
Yes it is possible to have a network, where one is happy and unaware of mundane
/ yet intricate BGP
Yep.. that is exactly what is to be expected..

I wish there was a simple answer to your question...
But... there are some more questions
With the setup you have described.
Are you running iBGP sessions between all the routers ?
if not.. then you are not properly configured.
In today's day and age, one needs to do Traffic
Hmmm... Why not a combination of all of the above and plus some ?
Let's put two and two together...
1) Comcast, has a few towers that they own, they were using it for Radio
Communication
2) Comcast is also offering Cell Phones .. (Maybe start off as a MVNO, and
transfer folks to it's
If you want to get into more details off list that will be fine...
BGP-Communities is not some magical thing, it is a Custom Defined
feature/functionality that a provider can choose to implement or not to.. it
only helps in doing traffic management automatically by their down stream
Let's get into the nitty gritty of things...
I am going to start backwards
1) you should have IP Address on loopback interfaces on each of the routers.
2) you should have an igrp protocol running between all of these routers so
that they can reach each other's Loopback Address (OSPF is
What Routerboard hardware are you running in your network, can you please share
?
Thanks.

sorry only saw the picture after hitting return.
both messages are valid... :)
One say system detected it self locking up
the other says, watchdog did a reboot ! kind of a good thing..
Time to update the firmware ?

Are you logging to file ? if yes, then they are sitting in the files section...
If not, then keep in mind that there is only so much space, and the log file in
memory will rotate..
Best way to see if the router did an actual reboot is to see the Uptime via
winbox or cli.
Regards.
Faisal
Unless you are explicitly logging to file, the log you are looking at is only
kept in memory, as such once the router reboots, historical log is lost.

Each router should have a unique router ID
typically, best practice, is to take an IP Address (unique) and assign it to
the Loopback interface ( a dummy bridge interface) and use that a router id in
your OSPF instance..
irrespective of how many interfaces you have running OSPF, only one
I am a visual guy... i know the terms you are using to describe the setup, if
you are running into an issue, chances are you might be thinking one thing and
actually doing another ...
so, how about doing a visual presentation of what you have and what you are
trying to accomplish.
Regards.
if you really want to do this correctly, then look at this ...
a bit more complicated, but very thorough...
