Hi,
the past few days I've seen these in the rsync logs:
send_files failed to open dist/apache_2.0a8.tar.Z.asc: Permission denied
send_files failed to open dist/apache_2.0a8.tar.gz.asc: Permission denied
Can some one please fix it ? Thanks.

d be advisable that the 'master' mirrors stuff
from the various projects (as opposed to the projects pushing
stuff to the 'master'). This way, the master can notice
mirror problems, that would otherwize be noticed only by
the mirrors. This goes for permission proble
apache 'central' would just be responsible for only one mirror,
things would undoubtedly improve. The problem is, and has been,
and will be, that no one is responsible and/or in a position to
improve things.
Now thing become bigger, they will have to become better too.

For the Jakarta ANT stuff, the 'deep links' are
incorrect for site mirrors (missing /dist/).
Apart from that, it's a good idea. However, 'index.html' and
README files for www and ftp users would improve usability.

don't rsync your mirror at the top of the hour
Each hour, on the hour I see a lot of mirrors starting an rsync;
I think this causes the problem.
So, please pick a random minute to rsync your m
list;
The second HREF is derived from the first,
by stripping everything after the first '/';
in this case, there is nothing to strip,
so the HREFs are identical.
I don't think that is going to change.
