After fixing these jpeg-mmx compiles ok and runs the included tests.
I managed to compile mencoder without the assembly part, after
determining that it was not possible to compile the assembly bits
without substantial rewrite, but now I see that perhaps I was wrong. I
asked for help in this
i can build everything except mpeg2enc. has anyone else had this
issue? do you know what the issue is?
Last time I tried, it was because NASM could not correctly generate
object code to be linked in cygwin. I used a ./configure switch to
disable all kinds of MMX/SSE optimizations and was

Just as a matter of interest, what are the principal uses, if any, of the
MJPEG Tools to someone who doesn't have a supported capture card?
You don't have to capture with the mjpegtools -- I never have (all my
captures are DV through a Canopus box on FireWire).
My target is to create some DVD test Computer Generated videos using POV-Ray
and mjpeg tools. I've generated several seconds of test video with this, but
I have no way to put them onto DVD ATM, so I was hoping to burn a VCD to test
the resolution, as they look poor on the computer , buty Im
configure option --disable-simd-accel and maybe
--disable-cmov-extension.
That turns of the -X86 optimizations.
A dog is rather fast I would think more of the speed of a turtle ;)
Thanks, Bernard. Can something be done to compile the .s files under
CygWin ?

I know this should be simple, but how do I make silence? I've got several
short m2v files created from POVRay images, but my M$ based DVD/SVCD software
can't convert them because they don't have sound. I know I've seen this in my
inbox, but I've 25K of messages and only a 200Mhz PentiumMMX to
to do what you want
(vcdxbuild/cdrecord for CD and dvdauthor/cdrecord or growisofs for DVD).
Second, from the message you get from Nero sounds like you are
generating a format different from what you're going to finally burn, why ?

Yes, I think there is a good chance that 1.6.2 will fix the problem
Sorry, trying to install from RPM to save me the time of installing all
the -devel packages. I get the errors from

What about using yuvfps ? If you know the original frame rate you can
simply discard all frames between one and another by converting to a
lesser framerate. Say, for example, your data source is 25fps and you
want to keep one of each 10 frames. You would then use a 25:10 framerate
in yuvfps to
(his name does not
even appear in it), and I cannot manage make to build it.
As the author of yuvfps, I know that some day I compiled it. However, I
cannot remember what I did. And I now want to add yuvcutter!!. Please help

I tend to remember having read somewhere in this list that you have to add
#define _LINUX_VFS_H
#define _SYS_WAIT_H
at the end of acconfig.h
and then do a make
