Hi there, I'm interested in contribution to mnemosyne. On the website it says
to gog to launchpad to look for planned features/projects, but I was unable to
find anything. It says you do not useblueprints and that there are no open
bugs. How can I help?

Hi there -
I created some cards that include media files (mp3s) & wanted to share
it with a few friends. I'm on a Mac & located all the media files
inside the .mnemosyne directory. Two of my friends have Macs & didn't
have any trouble getting media to play, but the PC user seems to have

Anyhow, I suppose this is getting into the realm of the very specific,
less generally useful & low priority!

But, like Michael, I'm never adding fewer than a couple dozen cards.

To post to this group, send email to mnemosyne-pr

Howdy!
I regularly upload around 80 new cards with associated sound files. Up
to date I have done this by a) creating a text file numbering the
questions, one question per line b) creating another text file
numbering the answers, one per line c) naming the audio files in order
so that their number

Here's a trick I use: create an alternative Mnemosyne library (or
deck,
or whatever the set of all categories is called") - it can be
completely
empty, it doesn't matter, but so far as I can tell, while you have
one
library loaded, Mnemosyne doesn't keep track of the others (so the

Please can we have them approx. 3x bigger please.
In my case, I am mainly using on Android (HTC Desire).

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts as to what I might do to
*identify* the problem here (given that I apparently have dvipng &
latex installed & that they are located in the right path)?
Is there anyway of looking into Mnemosyne to see where the problem is
happening?

how does one do this? given that i don't know how to change the path,
I had tried to place the file in (the way of?) the path, but i'm sure

are latex and dvipng installed? (from Q: test A: <$> \alpha )
and quitting & restarting didn't do anything for me.
any thoughts? I sure can't figure it out.
thanks for all the help.

;under the hood' as it were? I'm interested in
understanding what's happening / how to change what happens on a lower

Will let you know if MacTex does the trick.

So I found a download for "lp1241b04" which is apparently the libpng
that i need (?). but the error is persistent & I do not know why. I
suspect it has to do with where it is placed on my computer (?).
Any advice?

Alright, what a trip! I finally downloaded gcc4.2.pkg via the apple

PATH, & I tried reading that, but to no insight on my behalf. I moved

Thank you both very much. This has definitely got me moving somewhere,
at least the ./configure command is recognized now. The new issue is
that I don't seem to have other programs necessary to configure
dvipng; viz. "gcc" (?).
I did a search and found this website with a download (http://

I'm very much interested in learning about all of this, but am also
just interested in getting the math component up and running. If you
have any advice about either (or links to helpful websites), it would
