hmmm, reminds me of a kurt vonegut quote. in slaughter house 5 when the
aliens are talking about how they percieve time compared to humans. humans
see time like rolling on a skateboard with your eye only seeing through a
tall skinny pipe, and the aliens see time as one big thing...the past, the
i love the new modest mouse, but the deathcab album is so boring and
unoriginal and forgettable in my opinion. i know lots of people like it, but
i just don't.

this isn't on a song, but i was looking @ interstate 8 cd case today and saw
this, and it really maked me think: close your eyes and you'll see nothing
at all, or maybe it's just everything at once.

time.. no Isaak singing through his guitar I missed that.. it was very good
but it wasn't at thier best as far as live goes.. last show at the

Anyone heard of a band called The Golden Ticket? I saw them a few
months ago and bought thier demo, and it just got eaten by my friends
car stereo. I REALLY love this band. If anyone know's how I could get
anything else of thiers (I know they have a 7" out, but I can't find it
anywhere), or eve

First of all I was shocked at the number of people that went to the
Modest Mouse show. Most of the audience I don't believe had heard of the
band before that day though. Apparently there was some guy break dancing to
MM songs. How you can do that is beyond me but my friends assure me it

Anyone going to the shows tonight and tomorrow night
here in Portland? I might have an extra ticket for
tomorrow night's show if anyone needs one.

So, did anyone else think to record the Bumbershoot shows? Well, I went
sunday and monday. Sunday I recorded Glen Philips acoustic (Ex. Toad the Wet
Sprocket front man) and the Posies acoustic. Then Monday I recorded Juno and
Modest Mouse. It was a good couple days. The whole MM thing was crazy. T
i'll be there, but i'm always a little weirded-out about meeting people from
online in real life. plus i'm not old enough to drink (20), so no one likes
hanging out with me.
I will be there too! So that's a ton of us that are going to be there!

Here's my lowdown on Monday at Bumbershoot~
* BOTCH * Holy fuck, you gotta give props to a band that creates a sweaty,
screaming mosh pit at high noon on a Monday. I am thoroughly investigating
this band ASAP. The lead singer served his tonsils on a platter and the
audience ate them up.
