Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl)
Hi all,
I have got a trial test server certificate from Verisign, but
when I replace the old dummy certificate with the trial one and run
it,
my ssl-enabled Apache doesn't work. I have printed its error
message below. Hope someone can help me, thank you.

I have a similar question then.
On my machine I have one IP and multiple vhosts. I
only want to use SSL for secure pop3 access using
webmail (or something similar). All my other hosts
should handle requests from port 80.
Is that possible using your port-based vhost? If this
isn't possible, wo

Im aware that the exchange of signed email can also kick start this
process but was looking for an alternative.

Hi modssl users:
I've been able to build apache_1.3.19/mod_ssl-2.8.2 on a RedHat 6.2

perl 5.60 is *required*. Am I missing any functionality or likely

2.5.1. I get the same error, even though with 2.2.5 there's a fix in the changes
log for this problem.
i'm afraid i don't have the skill (yet?) to look through the source and fix the
problem.

i'm right in saying it's still a problem because i can't see it in the changes

No, that gives you a certificate for your server. Becoming a
Certificate Authority (that sells digital certs) requires a
much greater investment.

If you are using a Thawte certificate, have you followed closely
their CSR generation and installation procedures as defined in:
http://www.thawte.com/certs/server/keygen/apachessl.html
Did you update your HTTPD.CONF file to accommodate a 443 port?

I think I know the answer to this but what the heck...
I run apachectl -l and get...

http_core.c
mod_so.c
No mod_ssl . This is Apache 2.0.39. Is there a way to get mod_ssl
installed on this server outside of re-installing Apache?
Thanks,
