There was a guy in MCW who used to have full page ads of these with prices
ranging from $25 to $100.
One time on eBay I saw a lot of 100 of these, and I got them for $100, and I
thought, I am rich!, thinking of the MCW guy.
I put them on eBay (this was back when I started my auctions at $2.99)
Pristine MINT condition is a must if you hope to sell it. Most people
who bought sheet music couldn't resist writing or stamping there names
on the music and they marked the sheet music itself emphasizing notes
and breaks etc. Music that has been marked as I described is worth very
little, a few
we used to price our sheet music individually in the shop and they sold on
an irregular basis. now we sell it all for $2.00 each or 25 or more $1.00
each and we do quite well.
We do still price some of the new arrivals at $5.00 and up display it at
those prices for about 6 months and than throw it
Put it this way: I had Breakfast at Tiffany's Moon River sheet music (with a
b/w version of the McGinnis art) that went for a whopping$15.
I've sold some Disney sheet music for $20-$40 in the past and some early (1910s
and 20s) Norman Rockwell illustrated stuff for a bit more than that, but
2 frequent MOPO contributors told me that my funny-satirical post got
lost (no attention) a few days ago because of the minimal postings over in the
July 4th holiday-(although i received a few private comical emails) so
