Moving away from the current topic, I will be heading off to London soon and
would love to hear if there are any Movie Poster conventions or fairs still
happening over there. I used to go to Ed Mason's conventions in Westminster
quite regularly. Are they still going?

Hi Richard
Agree with all this, the sales posts aren't the problem per se, it's the lack
of other posts (with more nutritional value) that stands out.
The issue of supply demand is interesting: will the recovering world economy
help offset the vast amount of material now available? I was in
Thanks very much for that. Looks like there are a lot more celebrities than
there used to be.

Yes they are John
It all makes a lot of sense. It is eMoviePoster.com that is the problem.
Looking at February 15th to 20th, you can really see it. During that six
day period we had *3,000 auctions* closing, and I sent *TEN *MoPo emails.
Six of them were about each of the sets of 999 auctions closing (two per
set).

Hallo MOPO
Anyone know who designed the terrific 1sh for this Vincent Price movie (see

Looks a bit Reynold Brown-y.

Yes it's grown quite a bit. Was there a few months ago, last time before that I

enough based on past experiences. Fair was 5 times bigger though. In the end I
did not have a real look, shook a few hands, had lots of
This is a little long, so my apologies in advance.
One point to make here about many of the dealers who post to MoPo is that
they are abiding by the long-standing request to add FA or FS to their
subject line. (One Mexican lobby card dealer does not add FA or FS to

Scott,
I am happy that MoPo is around. I have learned a lot, come across some
interesting people, and found an occasional item to buy. Thanks so much for
keeping it going.

Hi Scott et al,
I remember the early days and the people noted in your message; it made for

Since my daughter was born, my time has shortened quite a bit, and this can

I have bought countless number of items from the for sale lists, have sold

Decent chance the design was by Albert Kallis, who was art director at AIP at
that time. Believe he had overall responsibility for print output, though that
said, don't believe he was necessarily the only art director.
Some he'd illustrate himself, or assign to artists like Brown, (who
Cheers Richard, Kallis crossed my mind but I didn't know he was AIP at the
time, that's good info. There's no credit on the back of the LP or on the usual

I've a weird feeling that I've seen the key art used on an entirely unrelated
project to Master Of The World which is why it's

Yes it'd be great if someone could get Kallis' thoughts down, it might help
apprehend the dodgy information that hits the web and then spreads like
wildfire. The Bass book has helped a bit in that regard.
Thanks Rich Rich and MOPO!

I, for one, don't have any real problem with dealer FS/FA posts. Sometimes, I
actually discover something that I want to buy...and might have missed had the
dealer not pointed out the item in his post. and if I don't want to be
bothered, there's always the 'delete button.

Thank You!
