Does anyone have an alternative method to framing a 6-sheet poster. Something
that won’t break the bank.

Spotlight Displays has a 6 sheet frame on their list. I have no
experience with this size, but have used other sizes of their frames. You
would need to contact Robert for details as this is not a stock item.

I'm sure Sue can do the rails.
What about the oversized UV plexiglas? My understanding is that six sheet size
UV-filtered plexi has to be special ordered and is expensive.. It can be
acquired through Regal Plastics in Houston.

I would assume a framed six sheet needs to be in a wood frame

I once thought about using a pair of cut down 4'x9' plexi panels and using
polycarbonate H channel to join them. Something like this:

I once had a client who framed large size posters by sandwiching them between a
backing board and UV-plexi.
He cut the whole thing a few inches wider than necessary, screwed holes in the
borders and held everything together with decorative screws. A simply idea, but
it worked well and actually
longer frame 6
sheets as it's a lot of work to do.
