I discovered the "Marley and Me" picture books last year. I think there are 4 of them now. I had a 2nd grade special ed class for enrichment. They loved the first book of the series which we did as an interactive read aloud. They were so full of life, made tons of connections and predictio

I love the Pigeon books, as well. I use them for persuasive text. My school added that as a new unit last year, and I had much success with that pigeon! The books are great to start a pro con conversation. Kids as young as grade 2 have a ball adding their comments and opinions! I am so gl
