Yesterday, out of all the White-throated Sparrows, and the couple Field and
Chipping Sparrows, I espied a lovely Vesper Sparrow bathing in our ground
water. It even gave my son good looks at its pretty little red epaulet, white
eye-ring, and white outer tail feathers as it flew. Lovely looks.
Wally Swanson found a Cattle Egret in Waseca County this am at the Center Point
Energy plant where he works. The egret was in the grassy area beside a pond
with a fountain at the plant site. It then flew across the road to a farm yard
with cattle and sat on a small building in the cow yard,
Just got done changing water and adding some peanuts to the screen feeder
and now that I'm back in the house I've just had two Pine Siskin show up on
the thistle feeder..

9:15am: There was one Le Conte's Sparrow today in the grassy/dogwood area in
the southern part of Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park. 8 ladies

This afternoon at the WMA one mile north of the town of Nicollet on
the east side of Hwy. 111 a Short-eared Owl spooked up from the
prairie as I walked along the dirt trail toward the wetlands. The bird
