Sorry about the repeated message; but one of my photos seems to show the
bill is banded, not bicolored. Also found a photo of ring-billed gull that
showed somewhat similar bleaching.

Last Thursday, Gerry Hoekstra and I photographed several Lark Sparrows at
the Louisville Swamp Unit of the MN Valley NWR in northern Scott County.
The birds were feeding in a burned prairie area, the type of habitat the
species often prefers. My photos are on my blog this morning (I

On 5/17, a Hooded Warbler was singing on the south side of the trail
between trail markers 14 and 15 in Murphy Hanrehan Regional Park, Scott

Spent the day birding southern Goodhue County and Northern Wabasha County
yesterday. Highlights included a White-faced Ibis NE of the corner of
Wabasha County 30 and N County Rd 24 near where one had been previously
reported. The Ibis was with a large flock of Ring-billed and Franklin's
Gulls.
If there is more sightings of the Little gull at Lake Byllesby, please back
channel to me or post to the list…. I may try for it if it’s still around after
work today. Thanks!!!

While scanning the flooded field adjacent to our property just now, a gorgeous
White-faced Ibis flew in among the Caspian Terns. It stayed about 15 minutes
