to be a good spot for warblers in the past, especially the dirt path that turns
off to the right as you walk up from the Cty. F end of the park.

right is a narrow trail down to
the river. From there you can see the jumble of dead tree limbs. The bird was
in that area.
For state listers this is all in MN at this point, the water way being a
channel to the St. Croix River.

Sorry for the late post - Yesterday, July 30 we observed 7 Buff-breasted
Sandpipers at Harley's Sod Farm. The location is NE of North Branch on 400th,
.6 mi E of Hemingway Av.
The birds were on the south side of the road in the dried grass field.

north end, where it's been consistently seen. It came out into the open, then
back into the reeds, working it's way south and occasionally visible.

Thanks Pete for the quick post. I observed the moorhen from 7:10 to 7:20
tonight. It slid along and in the reeds from in front of the house
southwards. I took pictures for documentation.

3 north out of Scandia. At 240th St. turn right. There are
several houses and driveways, but you will almost immediately see a large field
on your left where the horses are grazing.

The sod farms were largely empty of birds. ?There was an area on 420th, East of

I finished my day at McGregor Marsh where I heard many Yellow Rails calling.
?Conditions were calm, with patchy fog. ?I heard them mainly on the east side
of Hwy 65 at almost every place I stopped.

Meeker County now has two owlets.
In Otter Tail County and neighboring counties to the SW no migrants that others
haven't reported for the state, but many White-throated and Vesper Sparrows
were found in numerous locations.

While searching for GWF Geese in Washington County (no luck) I found an early
Common Loon and an early (I think) Pied-billed Grebe out from the marina in
Afton. Lots of ducks, nothing new or unusual.

County this afternoon, March 15. I also observed Eastern Bluebirds singing.

The Snowy Owl seen by many was present near the glycol plant, just beyond the
1st tunnel on Cargo Road. We made a quick pass on
our way to our part of the Bloomington Count Circle and saw the owl on a lamp
post. The time was about 8:15 a.m. 12/20.
