Mark Ochs and I relocated the Bell's Vireo by Lake Nokomis about 9:30am
this morning. It was in the grove of trees towards the south end of the
previously posted range for the bird. It called several times from the
deciduous trees.

Rd. 22 and Co. Rd. 7 in Clearwater County NW of Bagley. This is one of the few
counties that I was not able to find a Dickcissel in last year so they may be

I heard a Cerulean Warbler calling repeatedly early this morning in
Carlton County, so perhaps this bird will stick around for a while. It
was heard from Co. Rd. 103 where it crosses the North Fork of the
Nemadji River, between Co. Rd. 6 to the north and Co. Rd. 8 to the

Took an impromptu trip to the Jirik Sod Farm in Dakota County during a
light rain Tuesday afternoon and saw at least a dozen American
Golden-Plovers and at least 3 Buff-breasted Sandpipers. Without my

since last year we had over 120 participants, including 8 Japanese
birders from the Osaka Wild Bird Society. Those participants identified

Beebe Lake Regional Park east of Buffalo off of Co. Rd. 34. I walked
out into the grasses SE(?) of the paved parking lot that is furthest

There was a Veery, a Swainson's Thrush and a Harris' Sparrow all within

On my first walk out there in 10 days I had 62 species including lots of
firsts for the year including:
This morning on my usual walk I saw 2 OSPREY on the nesting platform at
the north end of Minnregs Lake. One of them was seen right before that
carrying nesting material, so it looks like they may try to set up house
