I was unable to refind the murrelet between 10:00 and 11:45 AM this
morning. I only encountered one party of two birders at Park Point
during this time. The male Barrow's Goldeneye was still present in the
harbor near the bus turnaround at 43rd Street and a first-cycle
Glaucous Gull was at
I just spoke with Jim Lind and he said that the immature Ivory Gull
got up from the ice where it had been sitting, circled high overhead,
and flew west at 1:40 PM. Areas to consider looking for the bird
include the harbor ice off the Port Terminal, the mouth of Miller
Creek near the WLSSD
21 species of warblers were found during foggy conditions this morning
between Southworth Marsh and the picnic shelter at the Park Point
Recreation Area in Duluth. Other birders are still looking and there
may be further updates later today. The 2 Whimbrel are still present
on the
Two Whimbrels were still present at the ballfields on Park Point this morning.

This morning (30 July) there were 8 Buff-breasteds on the ballfields
at the Park Point Recreation Area in Duluth and 4 more on the south
side of Hearding Island in the Duluth harbor.
Yesterday (29 July) Jeanie Joppru and I found a Buff-breasted
Sandpiper at Tamarac Pool, Agassiz NWR.

Between 4:30 and 6:30 PM today (19 September), 3 juvenile/first-winter Little
Gulls and a minimum of 5 jaegers were seen on Lake Superior from the viewing
platform near Lafayette Square at 31st Street on Park Point. The adult Little
Gull seen yesterday afternoon between Lafayette Square and Canal
Mike Hendrickson just called to report that he and Tom Auer leading the MOU
pelagic trip on Lake Superior just sighted a juvenile Sabine's Gull off of
Lafayette Square (31st Street on Park Point). Excellent views and photographs
are being obtained.

driveway, I saw one fly overhead and land in my neighbors's white spruce
shortly
after 5:00 PM. I watched it through binoculars for about 10 seconds before it
