Spent time on Crane for opening fishing and was able to do a lot of hiking and
birding. Somewhat slow, but a couple surprises for me as well. Nine warbler
sp. with N. Parulas, BLack-throated Greens, Yellow-rumps and Pine most
abundant. No Hermit Thrushes but a great look and song from a Wood T
a couple hours on Park Point today provided Cindy and me with Goldeneye,
N.Shovelers, C.Mergansers, BLack Ducks, one Ring-necked duck with some
Goldeneyes and a Gadwall among a dozen C. Mergansers and other usual suspects.

I was reminded that there was no location on my post earlier so sorry. Two
more Warblers today besides what was listed earlier. Its a Grand day Out!

A morning walk behind my sisters house provided us with 35 sp including 11
warblers. Magnolias, mournings, 1 singing Golden Wing (my highlight),
blackburnians, Many Canadas to name a few. One unidentified song has got me
curiouser and curiouser.

Unfortunately I am working out of town this week and do not know the status of
the Yellow-throated Warbler in my yard.? My wife and boys are home but are not
a lot of help with the spotting.? People are welcome to visit the yard to look

Probably 100 redpolls at the feeder on a daily basis with one or two hoarys
mixed in to catch my attention every so often.? Lots of pine siskens as well.?
They're the ones who will break me on the thistle feed this year.? The
